Fundación Cethus considers that studying cetaceans is the first essential step required towards their conservation, so various research projects are under way at different places on the Patagonian coast.
We studied 7 of the 36 species of cetaceans that inhabit our territorial waters. They are: Southern Right Whale, Peale´s Dolphin, Commerson´s Dolphin, Orca, Franciscanas, Dusky Dolphin, and Burmeister´s Porpoise.
