Our common resources

Many species of animals, especially those that are marine, are considered common resources, examples of which are cetaceans. We could think of them, in a simple way, as resources that belong to both everybody and nobody, and are of free access. In addition to these species, the atmosphere, water, etc. are also common resources. The IWC passed a resolution that will make possible to achieve greater transparency in its processes. For example, payments must be made by bank transfer and not by cash. Anyone would think this decision as inconsequential, but in the context of the IWC and with the criticism received by some of its members in past years, this is an important step. Without any doubt, this decision will help a substantial improvement in the processes of the IWC.
