Once again a report, in this case by trainers of these wonderful animals, reveals, in a detailed description, conditions to which Orcas are subjected while they are kept in captivity, and deals with the possible implications of the generated stress.
The Orca Project organization has recently submitted a report that exposes the reality of keeping Orcas in captivity.
In this case, the report may be most notorious than the previous ones because it was prepared by former trainers at Sea World Orlando. They suggest possible causes of stress and consequences on animals' health, such as social conflicts, inadequate diet, swimming pools too small or too shallow and early breeding.
Among the several issues discussed, the problem of frequent attacks and aggressive reactions among individuals also arises. During these episodes individuals become severely injured, even dying due to the wounds, and that in recent events have led to the death of some of their trainers.
